Hello, this is Dr. Hyunki Cho from Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, Busan branch.
Scars caused by plastic surgery can be a significant psychological burden for many patients.
In particular, depressed scars resulting from complications after rhinoplasty can be especially stressful as they are located in the center of the face.
Today, I would like to share a case of a patient who developed inflammation after rhinoplasty and had to undergo silicone removal surgery after 7 months.
The patient visited us with a deep and large depressed scar.
Due to previous surgical experiences, the patient had lost trust in medical professionals.
Since scars caused by complications from plastic surgery are difficult to treat with other procedures,
the patient began treatment with Coratherapy to address the scar.

Case :: Deep depressed scar caused by rhinoplasty complications
History :: Large and deep inflammatory depressed scar
Report :: 10 sessions of Coratherapy
Although the scar caused by rhinoplasty complications was large and deep,
the treatment process showed rapid regeneration of new tissue.
As the treatment progressed, the edges of the scar gradually faded,
and eventually, the scar became almost invisible.
After completing the treatment, the patient achieved a satisfactory outcome.
From the third session of Coratherapy, the scar area began to fill in quickly,
and skin regeneration was visibly noticeable.

By the fifth session, the depth of the scar was significantly reduced,
and the boundary between the scar and the surrounding skin became less distinct.
From the eighth session, the color and thickness of the scarred skin became similar to the surrounding skin,
the scar’s edges blurred, and its overall appearance improved.
By the end of the tenth session, the scar had become almost invisible,
and the boundary between the scar and normal skin had disappeared.
Despite the scar being large and deep, new tissue regenerated quickly,
and by the end of the treatment, the edges and scar marks were almost completely gone,
demonstrating the effectiveness of Coratherapy.
So, why is Coratherapy particularly effective for surgical scars?
<Why Coratherapy is effective for surgical scars>
1. It directly addresses the structural characteristics of scars.
: Depressed scars are caused by inflammation within the skin, leading to the loss and adhesion of the dermis.
Coratherapy stimulates the adhered connective tissue, creating space beneath the scar,
allowing new tissue and collagen to regenerate.
2. It promotes recovery using the skin’s natural regenerative ability without inserting foreign substances.
: Coratherapy aids skin recovery by utilizing the skin’s natural regenerative power.
Since no foreign substances are introduced, there is minimal risk of allergic reactions,
making it a safe and effective treatment for scars.

Surgical scars caused by complications are more challenging to treat compared to other types of scars.
However, with an experienced doctor who understands the characteristics of your skin and scars,
it is possible to achieve significant recovery through personalized Coratherapy treatment.
