Review of Coratherapy for Scar Removal at Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic in Suwon

Hello, this is Dr. Seungyeop Lee from Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic Suwon Branch.
The nose is located at the center of the face, so scars on the nose are easily noticeable and
cannot be easily concealed with makeup, causing stress for many people.
Especially, depressed scars on the nose are slow to heal due to the nature of the skin and are relatively challenging to treat.
However, with appropriate treatment, depressed scars on the nose can be sufficiently improved.
Today, I would like to share the detailed effects of Coratherapy through the actual treatment case of a woman in her 30s
who was concerned about a scar on her nose.

Case :: Woman in her 30s, depressed scar in the center of the nose

History :: Insufficient results after Fraxel laser treatment

Report :: 5 sessions of Coratherapy

Upon closely examining the patient’s nose, the scar was deeply depressed, and there was a noticeable color difference with the surrounding skin.
Scars are not just a surface issue of the skin but occur due to damage to collagen and elastin fibers within the skin,
which is why fundamental treatment is necessary.
At Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic Suwon Branch, we performed Coratherapy to break the adhesion of the skin
and guide regenerative substances into the space, promoting the skin’s natural regenerative power to fill the depressed area.

After the third session, we could observe the scar area gradually filling in.
The depth of the scar became slightly shallower, and the skin tone appeared more even, which was visible to the naked eye.

After the fifth session, the scar area showed overall improvement.
Although some boundaries remained, we suggested additional treatment,
but the patient was satisfied with the current results and decided to conclude the treatment.

Coratherapy is a treatment method that induces skin regeneration in the scar area, helping new skin to grow.
It is particularly effective even in areas like the nose, where recovery is slower.
However, the treatment results can vary depending on the patient’s skin condition, the depth and characteristics of the scar,
and the individual’s skin regeneration ability.
Therefore, it is essential to consult with experienced medical professionals
and plan the treatment accordingly.

Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic has been performing Coratherapy since 2006, with over 80,000 scar treatment cases to date,
achieving a satisfaction rate of over 95%.
We hope this information helps those who have been struggling with scars.
