Review of Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic for Traffic Accident Scars Coratherapy Treatment
Hello, this is Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, the beginning of Coratherapy that removes scars.
Today, we would like to introduce the case of a patient in their 30s who was concerned about a depressed scar on their eyelid caused by a traffic accident.
This patient had a traffic accident three years ago,
which resulted in multiple scars on their face without sutures.
They have been undergoing various scar treatments at several dermatology clinics, including CO2 Fraxel, YAG laser, and thread lifting.
Despite trying multiple treatments, the results were not satisfactory,
so the patient searched extensively online and decided to visit our clinic.
From the front, you can see two scars on the left eyelid near the corner of the eye.
The scars are more noticeable from the side view.
The scars are approximately 1.2 cm long and have a pointed oval shape.
As mentioned earlier, the patient had already undergone numerous procedures and laser treatments,
so they were highly skeptical about the effectiveness and progress of the treatment when they visited us.

Case :: Pitted Scar
History :: Laser treatments, Fraxel, YAG laser, thread lifting, etc.
Report :: 9 sessions of Coratherapy
The patient had many doubts about the treatment method, the principle of skin regeneration, and the expected outcome.
We assessed that both scars near the eyes could be improved through treatment,
and suggested treating both scars.
However, the patient preferred to start with treating only the scar on the upper eyelid.
The scar had clear and wide boundaries but was located on the eyelid,
making it difficult to apply strong treatments like those used on the cheeks or forehead.
We estimated that about 10 sessions would result in over 90% improvement,
and the patient decided to start with 6 sessions and determine whether to continue based on the progress.

After 3 sessions of Coratherapy
The photo was taken during the 4th visit after completing 3 sessions.
From the front view, you can see that the dark and deep scar on the eyelid has significantly improved after just 3 sessions.
In the side view, where the scar is more visible, the sharp edges have softened, and the depth of the scar has noticeably filled in.

At this point, the patient asked whether the scar would remain after 6 sessions,
whether pigmentation would occur, or whether the surface would regenerate unevenly.
We explained that after 6 sessions, only the edges might remain, or the scar might fully fill in if progress accelerates.
We also assured the patient that any redness would fade over time and that uneven surfaces could be smoothed out with additional treatments.

After 6 sessions of Coratherapy
This photo was taken during the visit after completing 6 sessions.
The depth of the scar has significantly improved,
and the dark pigmentation that was visible in the first photo has also improved as new skin formed over the scar.
However, as initially expected, some edges remained,
so the patient decided to proceed with additional treatments after consultation.

After 9 sessions of Coratherapy
This photo was taken after completing 9 sessions.
As you can see, the scar has regenerated to the point where it is difficult to find, except for the natural wrinkles around the eyes.
The patient mentioned that the surface seemed slightly uneven,
so we performed a laser treatment to smooth it out and decided to monitor the progress together.
Compared to before, the redness in the treated area has significantly faded, and the surface has become smoother,
making it almost indistinguishable from the surrounding skin.
The patient also decided to proceed with treatment for the scar overlapping with the wrinkles near the corner of the eye.

This patient had a unique case where scars were left without sutures after a traffic accident,
and the scar was located on the eyelid, causing the patient significant concern before treatment.
The patient was worried about whether the scar could be improved through treatment,
whether pigmentation would remain, or whether the surface would remain uneven.
At Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, we were able to address all these concerns with Coratherapy.
Regardless of the location, shape, or depth of the scar, treatment can yield positive results.
