Face Acne Scar Treatment with Coratherapy at Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic Review

Hello, this is Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, the beginning of Coratherapy to erase scars.
The zone around the nose and cheeks is an area with high sebum production, making it prone to acne.
Acne in that zone is stressful not only because of its presence
but also because the scars it leaves behind are at the center of the face, making them impossible to hide with hair, which often leads to even greater stress.
Particularly, depressed acne scars, unlike pigmentation marks, do not heal naturally and require medical assistance.
Today, we would like to share how to treat depressed acne scars in the area around the nose and cheeks
along with an actual treatment case.

Case :: Pore-type scars + Ice pick scars

History :: No prior treatment experience

Report :: 9 sessions of Coratherapy

The case we are introducing today involves a patient who was stressed
due to deep scars on both cheeks, known as the area around the nose and cheeks.
Although the number of scars was not high, both pore-type scars and ice pick scars were present,
and the scars on the right cheek were deeper than those on the left.
The patient had no prior experience with other scar treatments,
and due to the depth of the scars, 9 sessions of Coratherapy were conducted.

Noticeable changes typically begin to appear around the 3rd or 4th session,
and deeper scars may require more sessions.
As seen in the photos after the 4th session, the scars were still quite deep.
At this point, many patients may feel discouraged and think, ‘These scars cannot be treated,’
but in the case of deep ice pick scars, it may seem as though there is no improvement during the initial 3–4 sessions.
This is because the treatment gradually fills the bottom of the scars
to ensure that, by the end of the treatment, the scars blend naturally with the surrounding skin.
Thus, when the treatment is completed, the results will be significantly different from the initial state.

The photos show the results after completing 9 sessions of Coratherapy.
Although some redness remains as the treatment was recently completed,
you can see that the depth of the scars has significantly reduced compared to the 4th session,
and the overall skin surface has become smoother.

Even deep ice pick scars can be treated, as shown in this case.
However, the effectiveness and number of sessions required depend on the depth, size, and condition of the scars.
Therefore, it is crucial to have a thorough consultation before starting treatment
to select a procedure tailored to the individual’s scars and plan a customized treatment.

Coratherapy, which treats scars by enhancing the skin’s regenerative power,
can effectively treat deep ice pick scars as shown in the case above.
Since 2006, Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic has been treating scars,
continuously improving Coratherapy techniques over 20 years
and successfully treating numerous scars.
Even scars you may have given up on can be overcome
with the experienced medical team at Rodam.
We hope today’s post provides new hope for those struggling with scars.
