Ice Pick Scar Removal Coratherapy Treatment Review, Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic Hongdae Branch

Hello, this is Dr. Sangwoo Jung from Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, Hongdae branch, specializing in scar removal.
Today, I brought a case about treating acne scars on the cheek.
People often think that the larger or deeper a scar is, the more stressful it is.
However, in my experience, the size of the scar and the level of stress are not significantly related.
Even the smallest scars can cause immense stress for the person dealing with them.
The case I’m introducing today is similar to this, and some of you might think, “Oh, this is just like my situation.”
This patient had good skin texture but had small ice pick scars scattered here and there.
Perhaps because their overall skin was good, even a few small scars caused significant stress for them.

Case :: Ice pick scars on the cheek
History :: No prior treatment experience
Report :: Despite high expectations, treatment was completed in just 6 sessions of Coratherapy
These types of ice pick scars are small but slow to heal, making them somewhat challenging for the practitioner.
They’re so small that I wish I could treat them all at once, but the slow progress can feel frustrating.
So, I explained this to the patient, emphasizing that even though the scars are small, the treatment might take some time, and then we began the treatment.

After 3 sessions of Coratherapy
This photo was taken after 3 sessions of Coratherapy.
The scars appear significantly lighter in the photo.
Although some scars are still visible, the progress was faster than expected, and I remember being amazed during the treatment.
Typically, ice pick scars require more than four sessions to start showing noticeable improvement.

After 5 sessions of Coratherapy
This photo was taken after 5 sessions of Coratherapy.
Compared to the earlier photo, the scars are even less visible.
During the treatment, I remember having to search carefully for the scars because they were so faint.
Patients with generally good skin often want their scars to be almost completely gone because even minor scars stand out on their skin.
This means their expectations are high, but fortunately, we were able to meet those high expectations and successfully complete the treatment.

We’ve looked at a case of treating ice pick type acne scars.
Some might wonder why I’m showing such small and insignificant scars,
but surprisingly, many people experience significant emotional distress from even very small scars.
However, because these scars are difficult to treat, some people try various methods and eventually give up.
Coratherapy can deliver excellent results, as demonstrated in this case.
Although this particular case was completed in just six sessions, it’s important to note that most treatments typically require around 10 sessions.

Even small scars can show significant improvement with Coratherapy.
Don’t give up on treating your scars; there is always a solution.
I hope today’s post has helped ease your concerns about acne scars.
