Today, we will explain the case of a male patient with acne scars on both cheeks.
This patient had quite severe acne scars on both cheeks.
It can be considered a severe case among acne scar patients.

The acne scars were not individual and separate but rather merged and enlarged across most of both cheeks.
This type of scar is more commonly seen in male acne scars than in females.
It is not caused by small pustules or papules but rather by numerous and persistent cystic acne lesions that are large and painful under the skin.

In this case, the patient had never undergone any other scar treatments before.
He believed that such severe acne scars could not be treated, so he did not consider treatment.
However, through a recommendation from an acquaintance, he visited our clinic.

Compared to the photos before treatment and after the third session, the changes may seem less dramatic.
However, compared to the third session, the edges of the scars have noticeably softened.
Some sharp, pointed scars remain, but they have improved significantly compared to before treatment.

The patient mentioned receiving many compliments from others, saying the improvement was remarkable.

If further treatment were to continue, the edges would become smoother and disappear,
and the sharp, pointed scars would gradually soften and reduce.
However, the patient was satisfied with the current results and decided to conclude the treatment.

There are two points I would like to emphasize with this case.
First, in cases where scars are large and strongly merged, treatment with Coratherapy can show faster improvement than expected.

Due to the nature of Coratherapy, larger scars often provide a wider space for blood to fill,
allowing new skin to regenerate more effectively.
Additionally, the improvement in larger scars is more visually noticeable compared to smaller scars.

Another point to note is that even with long intervals between sessions, the new skin does not collapse or sink back.
In this case, the patient returned a year after the third session and six months after the fifth session.
