Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic Cheonan Branch Eye Under Scar Treatment with Coratherapy

Hello, this is Dr. Kwangil Paeng from Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic in Cheonan.

Today, I would like to introduce a case of treating a newly formed depressed scar.

The patient visited our clinic a month after experiencing an unknown inflammation on the right cheek and under the eye. The inflamed area started to fill with pus. Despite trying various treatments such as injections and medication at a dermatology clinic, the scab eventually fell off, leaving a depressed scar. The patient visited us for treatment.

For deep scars, more time and sessions may be required compared to shallow scars. However, Coratherapy activates the skin’s natural regenerative ability, allowing new skin to fill in. With consistent treatment, significant improvement can be achieved.

Case :: A deep and prominent depressed scar under the eye that formed recently

History :: Depressed scar formed 10 days after the scab fell off

Report :: 9 sessions of Coratherapy for the upper scar, 11 sessions for the lower scar

<Condition before treatment>

  • A long and deep vertical scar on the right cheek and under the eye
  • The scar was very prominent and large
  • As it had only been 10 days since it formed, the redness was intense

<Treatment Plan>

  • For deep and well-defined scars, the treatment focused on filling the depth first
  • Subsequently, attention was given to blending the edges smoothly
  • Initially planned for 9 treatment sessions

<Treatment Highlights>

  1. The depressed area improved significantly as new skin filled in
  2. Although redness was severe initially, it subsided over time
  3. Even deep scars can improve significantly with Coratherapy
